For the first time in his solo career, Paul has released a DVD that candidly reveals the intimate backstage life on the road.

The three-hour “rock ‘n road movie” takes fans right inside the acclaimed current tour, giving access to all areas previously kept private from the public.

The “Back In The U.S.” DVD also includes performances of Paul and his new band at sound check that have never been shown before – plus footage of more than 30 classic songs filmed at shows all across America and presented in 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound.

PAUL McCARTNEY will end his internationally-acclaimed world tour back where it all began for him - in his home town of Liverpool.

Paul's last show of his hugely-successful year-long tour will be staged near the banks of the River Mersey on Sunday June 1st.

In order to bring the massive production to Liverpool, Paul McCartney's crew will be building a gig from scratch, erecting the 70ft. stage on empty ground at King's Dock.

The open-air summer show - for 30,000 fans - will be the first that Paul McCartney has staged for his home crowd since June 1990.

Paul McCartney's world tour began in Oakland, California, in April 2002. The tour played 58 concerts last year through the USA, Canada, Mexico and Japan. In March, Paul McCartney began the 32-show European leg of the tour that recently triumphed in England and will play through France, Spain, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Italy, Hungary, Austria, Russia and Ireland before ending in Liverpool.

PAUL MCCARTNEY BIOGRAPHY
Paul McCartney was born June 18th, 1942, in Liverpool, England, to working-class parents Jim and Mary McCartney. Young McCartney saw tragedy at a very early age, when his mother succumbed to breast cancer.

McCartney always excelled academically, and after his mother passed away, he asked his father to buy him a guitar. His father, who was also a musician (frontman of silent-cinema accompaniment group the Jim Mac Jazz Band), was thrilled that his son was also interested in music, and despite his meager salary, he bought his son his first guitar.

The young guitarist was inspired by skiffle music (folk-derived music) and the King of Rock N' Roll, and reveled in playing the guitar. Soon enough, he joined the Quarry Men in 1957, which also consisted of a certain fellow songwriter and singer, founder of the group, John Lennon.

The Quarry Men eventually metamorphosed into The Beatles, the British quartet that took over Europe, and ultimately the world. After record-breaking sales and smash hits (which are much too numerous to name), not to mention worldwide tours and three successful feature films, the world was declared "Beatlemania".
